Abstract: »This article aims to focus on feminist translation as a conception of translation that aims to openly resist patriarchal structures in the translation process, and to work against gender asymmetries by applying certain feminist translation practices. Sexual violence against women is a topic that is naturally present in German literature. By analysing the short story Volksfest by Ferdinand von Schirach (2010) and its translation into Spanish, it can be shown how feminist translation challenges so-called 'neutral and objective' translation processes, in which only the linguistically obligatory changes have been made. This article also deals with literary translation training, as students in particular should be aware that feminist topics such as sexual violence require special translational attention, one that can be given by the feminist translation approach.« (Source: Arts & Humanities)
